MLGBA is a voluntary state-wide professional association of LGBT lawyers providing a visible LGBT community presence within the Massachusetts legal community. MLGBA holds two highly anticipated events each year. In the Fall, usually in October, the MLGBA throws a cocktail reception for newly admitted law students in the Boston area. This is always a lot of fun and a great opportunity to sign up for their attorney/student mentoring program as well as meet other queer law students in the Boston area. In the Spring, MLGBA hosts a semi-formal dinner to honor someone making a difference for the GLBT community. Since this event is normally on the cusp of finals, it's always a lot of fun to spend one last night together as a group before buckling down for exams.
