Straight But NOT Narrow:
Queer Caucus includes not only gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students but also straight but not narrow students in our efforts. Please contact a representative for more information.
Recent Projects:
Boston Pride: Students from the Queer Caucus march every year with our "Queerest Law School in the Nation" banner.
Coming Out Day: The Queer Caucus annually celebrates this national day dedicated to "coming out." We also use it a a day to educate the wider law school community on continuing civil rights barriers facing LGBT people.
Protest the Soloman Amendment: The Queer Caucus is protesting the federal requirement allowing military access for recruiting purposes, even though the military has an official recruitment policy that is not consistent with the law school's anti-discrimination policy. If the law school failed to comply with the Solomon Amendment the University would be deprived of access to research and other federal funds that are critical to the University's ability to function. Click here for a survey conducted in January, 2005 on law student knowledge of and attitude towards the Solomon Amendment.
Coming Out in the Workplace Panel:
