Loislaw.com is a web based collection
of federal and state statutes, regulations and cases.
Where does Loislaw.com get their
material?
Cases are obtained directly from the
courts and other resouces and Statutes, Acts and Administrative Regulations
are generally received directly from the Legislative source.
Can I use Loislaw.com while on coop?
Current Northeastern University School
of Law students, faculty and staff have free access to Loislaw.com year
round. Students can use their Loislaw.com password for research while
on coop.
How can I access Loislaw.com?
Loislaw has issued Northeastern University
School of Law a special access code which will allow students to obtain/register
their individual password. Please contact a librarian for the special
access code prior to obtaining/registering your password.
To register for Loislaw, go to
http://lawschool.loislawschool.com
Click on "Register Now"
Fill in all the boxes
marked with an asterisk (*), and choose your own password
Type in the "Special
Access Code" for Northeastern University School of Law
Read the User Agreement
click the box for "I have read and agree to the terms of the
User Agreement"
Click "Submit"
Click "Confirm"
How do I determine how often the database
is updated?
Each database is updated at a different
time. To determine when your database was last updated, click on
the red currency button at the top of the search page once you access that
database.
