An associate justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court, Professor Borenstein has been a part-time lecturer at the School of Law since 1985.
He has twice been asked by graduating classes to deliver the faculty address at
commencement, a rare honor for a part-time member of the faculty. Professor Borenstein was appointed
to the Lawrence District Court in 1986, and then to the Superior Court in 1992.
