CONTRACTS SYLLABUS
Professor David Hall
Winter 2005
Office #55 - Ext. 3668
Each class number represents
the material that generally should be covered in one class. This syllabus is a
guide, which may be altered based on course development and rhythm. In addition
to the materials listed below, the course will cover other topics and problems
that are directly and indirectly related to contracts law. You will be exposed
to various theories of contracts law and various perspectives on law, legal
values and ethics. Most of these topics will be covered through lectures and
hypotheticals, but some of them will require you to do limited library
research. Class attendance, preparation and participation are required, and the
course will be conducted in a manner that solicits participation on a regular
basis. In order to facilitate your mastery of the materials, and to expose you
to various types of examinations, there will be a series of multiple choice
practice exams. Your successful completion of each exam in the series will be
considered in your overall evaluation in the course.
Call the bookstore (617/373-2286) or Gnomon Copy (617/536-4600) to determine if the course materials are available in advance.
