Academic Success Program
ASP The Academic Success Program exists to help every law student make the most of his or her academic experience at Northeastern University School of Law.

The director, Melinda Drew, is a 1987 graduate of NUSL. After practicing for several years as a lawyer in a small firm, then as a solo practitioner, Professor Drew returned to NUSL where, in addition to directing the Academic Success Program, she teaches a seminar in Professional Responsibility which incorporates analytical and legal reasoning techniques and a seminar in Legal Interviewing and Counseling.

Professor Brook Baker is a 1976 graduate of NUSL. In addition to his teaching, he is an AIDS activist, working on, among other things, issues of access to medicines. He teaches Negotiation, an upper-level simulation course, and a Global AIDS policy course. Prof. Baker also conducts the Analytical Skills Workshop, a weekly academic success programs for first-year students.
