Examinations,
Requests for Accommodations, & Evaluations
Examinations:
The office creates and distributes exam numbers to each student each quarter,
sets up the examination schedule, administers all examinations including
hiring proctors, providing blue books, counting exams and blue books at
the end of each exam, and distributing the exam answers to faculty members.
All exams should be passed into the Office of Academic and Student Affairs
(this includes take-home exams, final papers/projects and completed independent
study projects). The office also maintains exam answers in a storeroom
for a limited period of time. If a student would like to sign out an exam
answer, you may make this request in writing. The form is available
in the Office of Academic and Student Affairs (or
click
here to complete). Deliver the completed form to the office allowing
us two days to fill your request.
Reschedule
Upper-Level Exams: Once the upper-level examination schedule has
been posted, students may petition to reschedule an exam if you have two
exams on the same day or three exams on consecutive days. Rescheduled exams
must be taken within the designated reschedule periods. A student must
complete a reschedule form that is available in the Office of Academic
and Student Affairs (or click here to
download).
Request
for Accommodations: Any student who requires an accommodation must
first register with the Disability Resource Center in room 20 Dodge Hall.
Documentation will be maintained by the Disability Resource Center, and
a form detailing the student's accommodation will be sent to the law school.
Each quarter accommodated students should meet with Bill Greene to set
up appropriate exam arrangements.
Student
Evaluations: The office mails evaluations to students each quarter,
usually along with students' pre-registration materials. The office will
not mail evaluations to a co-op address in order to protect student privacy.
It is essential that students maintain their copies of these evaluations
each quarter for Co-op and Career Services mailings.
Course
Evaluations: The office distributes course evaluations to students,
providing students with an opportunity to evaluate their courses and professors.
Once completed, these evaluations are kept on file, used by the deans for
reference, and filed in the Law Library for student review.
